“This is the family’s historic vineyard cru, located in Castiglione Falletto at the border with Monforte d’Alba, and the Odderos have been making wine from this site since 1982. This is a thin little snake of vineyard land that shows unique and different characteristics in its wines. In the 2015 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione, those start with a strong mineral, almost salty element you taste right at the get-go. This wine is robust and tight in the mouth and should relax over the next two or three years. It’s another wonderful effort from Oddero.”

“This carries the finesse and power that defines this cru for most producers. The nose has very attractive, fresh rose, cherry, tar and leafy aromas, leading to a tightly held palate with an assertive tannin drive and plentiful sweet cherry flavors.”
